Monday 7th May - Round 1- Tain Golf Club
The start of the week saw me competing in the Northern Challenge
at the very picturesque Tain Golf Club. The stats showed I
scored 68 (-2); I hit 17 greens in regulation and missed only
one fairway. Again, like Portpatrick prior to that, I
just wasn't hitting my wedges close enough to the hole at times.
Although it turned out to be a good score I was somewhat frustated
as it could have easily been 2/3 shots better!
Tuesday 8th May - Round 2- Brora Golf Club
The day didn't get off to a great start as I woke up feeling as
if I had been hit by a truck - thumping head, sore throat and
runny nose - otherwise known as "man-flu"!! I had to
dig deep out on the course and finished with a 70 (+1) to finish
12th overall which was slightly disappointing given how I had
played the previous day!
My diet will be Vicks/Paracetamol and throat sweets which will
hopefully clear it up!
I'm playing at Rowallan Castle next week in a corporate outing
with one of my clients which I'm looking forward to very
much. It's great to get out and play on the course in that
kind of environment as I'm seeing players "in action" so to speak
and can really get a feel for their games and help them
develop poorer shots into "shot savers".
